Men in the Temazcal
About Armando Hart
I am a first generation Mexican American. My parents are from Michoacán, and I am honored to bring back the medicine of my ancestors through this sacred work. From a young age, I carried a vision that I was here for a purpose. That purpose led me to the track, where I discovered the power of movement, rhythm, and breath. As a sprinter, I chased speed, precision, and mastery while representing Mexico and competing at the highest levels. Beyond medals and races, I learned that movement is a doorway to self awareness and a way to live with integrity in daily life.
Over the years I dedicated myself to self discovery, spiritual guidance, and remembering who I am. I resisted the heat for a long time. The temazcal tested me, and eventually I surrendered to its fire. What once felt unbearable became sacred. The heat became a teacher, and I became a student again.
Through that surrender I was initiated to hold space in the temazcal. I became a temazcalero. Today I offer these ceremonies as a return to balance, courage, and truth. I blend my background in athletics with ancestral wisdom so men can ground in their bodies, open their hearts, and reconnect with purpose.
This is the path of remembering, a journey of fire, breath, and integrity, a way back home to ourselves.
